Assigning Detected Speakers

When you open a recording, detected speakers appear with default labels. Assign them to named profiles:

  1. From Recording View:
  • Open a recording
  • Go to the Speakers tab
  • Click on any detected speaker label
  • Enter name and email, or select existing speaker
  1. From Transcript View:
  • View the transcript with speaker labels
  • Click on any speaker label in the transcript
  • Assign to a speaker profile

Linking Speakers to Users

Link speaker profiles to platform user accounts:

  • Automatic Linking: When a speaker's email matches a user account, they may be automatically linked
  • Manual Linking: Manually associate speakers with user accounts in settings
  • Benefits: Enables user-specific analytics and personalized features

Note: Linking speakers to users helps maintain consistency and enables advanced features like user-specific dashboards and notifications.

Bulk Speaker Assignment

Assign multiple speakers at once:

  1. Select multiple recordings or speaker instances
  2. Use bulk actions to assign speakers
  3. Apply the same speaker profile to multiple instances
  4. Review and confirm assignments

This is especially useful when processing multiple recordings from the same meeting or series of meetings.

Speaker Name Updates

Update speaker information at any time:

  1. Navigate to Speakers → Select a speaker
  2. Click Edit or access from the speaker profile
  3. Update name or email address
  4. Changes apply to all past and future recordings

When to Update Speaker Names:

  • Correcting misspellings
  • Adding missing information
  • Standardizing naming conventions
  • Merging duplicate speaker profiles

Speaker Merging

If the same person appears as multiple speakers, you can merge them:

  1. Identify duplicate speakers (same person, different labels)
  2. Select the primary speaker profile to keep
  3. Merge other instances into the primary profile
  4. All recordings and statistics are consolidated

Important: Merging speakers consolidates all their data. This action cannot be easily undone, so verify before merging.
