Creating Tags

Use tags to categorize and organize your recordings and meetings beyond folder structure. Tags provide flexible, multi-dimensional organization.

Tag Creation

Create tags to categorize your content:

  1. Navigate to SettingsTags or use the tag picker when editing a recording/meeting
  2. Click "Create Tag" or the "+" button
  3. Enter a tag name (e.g., "client-call", "product-review", "urgent")
  4. Optionally choose a tag color
  5. Optionally add a description
  6. Click "Create" to save the tag

Tag Naming Best Practices:

  • Use lowercase letters and hyphens for consistency (e.g., "client-call" not "Client Call")
  • Keep names short and descriptive
  • Use consistent naming conventions across your organization
  • Avoid special characters that might cause issues

Tag Naming

Effective tag naming strategies:

By Category:

  • client-call, internal-meeting, training, interview

By Priority:

  • urgent, important, follow-up, archived

By Status:

  • action-required, completed, in-progress, blocked

By Topic:

  • product-development, sales, support, marketing

By Project:

  • project-alpha, website-redesign, q4-campaign

Tip: Establish a tag naming convention for your team to ensure consistency and make tags easier to find and use.

Tag Colors

Use colors to visually organize tags:

  1. When creating or editing a tag, click the color picker
  2. Choose from predefined colors or select a custom color
  3. Color helps you quickly identify tag categories:
  • Red: Urgent or high priority
  • Blue: Client-related
  • Green: Completed or positive
  • Yellow: Needs attention
  • Purple: Internal or team-related

Color Organization Tips:

  • Use consistent colors for similar tag categories
  • Don't use too many different colors (5-7 colors is usually sufficient)
  • Consider color accessibility for team members with color vision differences

Tag Organization

Organize your tags for easy management:

Tag Categories:

  • Group related tags together
  • Use prefixes to create tag groups (e.g., client-*, project-*)
  • Create a tag hierarchy if needed

Tag Management:

  1. Navigate to SettingsTags
  2. View all your tags in a list
  3. Sort by name, usage count, or creation date
  4. Search for specific tags
  5. Edit or delete tags as needed

Tag Statistics:

  • See how many recordings/meetings use each tag
  • Identify unused tags that can be removed
  • Find most commonly used tags
